In addition to attaching a copy of the order to the motion, a copy of all proposed orders must be directly e-mailed to chambers at the following address: utdecf_jenkins@utd.uscourts.gov. Proposed orders e-mailed to chambers must be editable and submitted in either WordPerfect or Word format.

Initial status conferences, other status conferences, pre-trial conferences, and all motions are heard in open court.
A final pretrial conference is held in open court in every civil case awaiting trial, at which time a firm trial date is set. Judge Jenkins requires the submission of an agreed form of proposed pre-trial order signed by all counsel and containing a statement of triable issues, a complete roster of witnesses and exhibits; and requires the attendance of trial counsel at pre-trial, prepared to talk issues, theory, authority, and facts.
Judge Jenkins begins trial at 9:30 a.m. and usually runs until 5:00 p.m. There is usually one break in the morning and one in the afternoon, with a lunch break from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m.
In jury trials, the court conducts the voir dire. Supplemental questions will be considered by the court, and submitted as per the local rules.
The assigned court reporter is Reeve Butler, with occasional substitutions by others. Transcripts may be ordered by calling him at (801) 328-0837.
The court expects counsel to conduct themselves in a professional manner at
