The Office of the Clerk of Court will be closed Monday, May 29, 2017 for Memorial Day. The office will reopen for business on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 8:30 a.m.

Public Notice for Reappointment of Incumbent Bankruptcy Judge

The current 14-year term of office of Robert D. Berger, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Kansas at Kansas City, Kansas, is due to expire on October 15, 2017. The United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit is presently considering whether to reappoint Judge Berger to a new 14-year term of office.

New CM/ECF Events for Deposit and Disbursement of Interpleader Fund

As of April 1, 2017, counsel must use the following new motion events in CM/ECF for registry deposits and disbursements in interpleader cases under 28 U.S.C. Section 1335:

Motion for Interpleader Deposit (28 U.S.C. Section 1335)
Motion for Interpleader Disbursement (28 U.S.C. Section 1335)

Cellular phones, laptops, tablets, and other devices with wireless communications capability may be brought into the courthouse, but may only be used subject to the Electronic Devices in the Courthouse Policy

Court Security - Please be advised that the courthouse is a Level 4 security building. There is a 100% ID check for all persons entering the facility.
