Advisory Committee on the Local Rules of Practice

The Advisory Committee on the Local Rules of Practice for the United States District Court for the District of Utah is accepting applications for committee members. The term is for 3 years with the option to renew for an additional term. The Advisory Committee for the Local Rules of Practice is comprised of attorneys, from the private and public sectors, a magistrate judge, and court staff. The committee meets monthly on the second Tuesday, from 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m. The meetings are held in the second floor conference room at the District of Utah courthouse, located at 351 West Temple. Additional information about the committee is found at https://www.utd.uscourts.gov/local-rules-practice-information. The Committee will give particular consideration to candidates from smaller law firms, IP attorneys, and attorneys from non-profit legal organizations. Candidates must have civil litigation experience in the United States District Court for the District of Utah.
