Free Tribal Domestic Violence Advocate Training January 25-26

The Karuk Tribe, in partnership with Tribal Justice Support, Office of Justice Services, U.S. Department of the Interior–Indian Affairs, is hosting an online Domestic/Family Violence Advocacy training January 25-26, 2022.   Attend one or both days from any place with internet access via Zoom.

Day 1 is open to all and includes:
• What is domestic/family violence?
• Recognize the warning signs.
• How and where to get help.
• Obtaining a protective order.

Day 2 is designed for counsel and lay advocates with exercises in presenting domestic violence matters in tribal court including court arguments and witness examination.
