The St. George state courthouse is the principal location for federal court hearings in the Southern Region of the District of Utah.  In St. George, hearings of the Bankruptcy Court are conducted by Bankruptcy Judge William T. Thurman, while Magistrate Judge Paul Kohler and District Judge David Nuffer conduct criminal and civil proceedings.
